Professor Schult became the eighth CLAS professor to receive this prestigious award. Greetings! Welcome to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). We want to help you become what you dream about—whether that’s a Spanish teacher or a psychologist, a creative writer or a corrections officer, a chemist or a computer scientist. We also make sure that you gain the skills, such as writing and critical thinking, that employers want and that will enable you to succeed professionally, no matter what field you pursue. We also want you to have a rich and fulfilling life. As a member of our community, you will learn about and celebrate diversity, participate in civic initiatives, and practice sustainability. Academic programs Benefiting Our Community Our faculty, staff, and students are devoted to improving our community for all of its members. They get out the vote” through our American Democracy Project, uncover historical artifacts in our Archeology Summer Field School, and work to improve our environment through the Center for a Sustainable Future. They help publish books of local history with Wolfson Press and conduct cancer research in our science labs.
